My view from the plane window…I just love this picture.
So, some of you may know that I took a little trip to Texas, to visit my parents. It’s truly a time where I get to sit back and relax. I don’t have to worry about waking up early, working, cleaning, cooking, running errands, or any of the usual things that mother’s have to do. Not to mention, I get to spend time with 2 of the most important people in my life; my mama and my daddy. It’s always a sad day for me when I have to leave because I really don’t know when it’s going to be the next time that I get to visit them. I had two flights to take and a 3 hour layover in between, to get back home to Chicago. Needless to say, I had a lot of time to think about things. I started visiting the past where my biological mother’s family did everything together where now most have passed or moved on. I thought about how I am so incredibly close to my parents and how I wished we lived closer together. They simply mean everything to me. Then, I thought about how extremely lucky I am to have my own family. If you told me when I was younger, that I was going to be blessed with a best friend as my husband and two amazing children, I would have never believed it.
Anyway, I would like to thank my parents for their hospitality, the amazing food, the scrabble games and for always stopping to smell the roses. I would like to thank my family for allowing me to go and being supportive. I know it’s kind of rough when I’m gone. I am truly blessed for all of you. I love you guys very much!
