MY EXPERIENCE AT THE CANDY EXPO
Greetings Wunderful People! I know I haven’t kept up with my blog posts lately but there has been so much going on between me visiting my parents, the Candy and Snacks Expo and Memorial Day. Today, I would like to share my experience about the Expo.
The Expo is top event of the candy & snacks industry that brings together all major US distribution channels of confectionery and snack products in one place.
The show is visited by over 16,000 industry professionals and more than 650 manufacturers of sweets and snacks exhibit at the event. The exhibitors cover the whole gamma of sweets and snack products, including manufacturer’s of chocolate, candy, gum, salty snacks, cookies, packaged cakes, biscuits, popcorn, granola bars, breakfast snacks, nutrition bars, meat snacks, fruit snacks, nuts, seeds, packaged goods and ice cream.
Now, yes we walk away with more candy and snacks than we will ever be able to consume but the experience itself is amazing. You have to be 16 years or older to attend but the 3 acres of space is decorated like a candy wunderland and any child would lose their mind if they simply took a glance. I’m a grown up and it never gets old seeing walking candy pieces and mascots, trying any sweet or salty snack that you can get your hands on, and trick-r-treating without having to say “trick-r-treat.”
My son is not old enough to attend but will be in 2 years. I can’t wait until he is able to see what me and daughter have talking about for so long. So, he gets to patiently wait until we get home, to see all of our sweet and salty treasures. I sometimes, see things that I don’t even remember throwing into our bags and very rarely do I eat something that I don’t like.
