Hello, you wunderful people and thank you for stopping by! My kitchen, in its current physical manifestation, is not the worst kitchen I’ve had the pleasure of cooking in. What it lacks in cabinets, counter space and a much larger refrigerator, it makes up for my love for cooking and creating delicious meals. What you’ll see here are recipes that anyone could make. I am totally self-taught and have no formal culinary training. Don’t get me wrong, I test most of my recipes at least once, but by no means claim to be a culinary genius. My belief is that you should always try a recipe just as written, the very first time you try it. After that, you can make any changes that you do not like. I don’t believe in excessively fussy foods or pompous ingredients. I don’t do truffle oil, Himalayan pink salt at $10 per quarter-ounce or chocolate that can only be found through top quality approved suppliers. I think food should be accessible, and I am certain that you don’t need any of these things to cook fantastically. I think people feel that they must have a gourmet kitchen and the finest elements to make a great meal. That’s just not true. I cook for my family almost every night and even some of the simplest ingredients, in the smallest of kitchens, can make a great dinner.
With all that being said, you may also find posts about daily thoughts on my life, weekend posts, travel, or favorite things. I may share pictures of my messy kitchen or brag about my amazing children. Hopefully, it will all balance out!
